This is one of my favorite briefcase alternatives. You can easily double it up as a tote for any purpose, or even a really small weekend bag.

I am a massive fan of satchels, which is why they almost always appear in my bag posts. However, I particularly adore this one, because it comes in a few pastel shades. It has quite a smooth finish, which means it wipes down easily. That may not mean a lot to some women, but I am disastrous, which means I tend to spill everything on my bags.

One of the reasons briefcases have been so popular is that they have a place for everything. Now that the modern day version of ‘everything’ can include a laptop, tablet, phone, e-reader, half a beauty store, we need much more space. Like any good shopper, it comes with plenty of room, so if you hoard on the go like I do it will be very useful.

There is a bit of a mod feel about this bag. Thanks to the sensible blend of colors, I reckon it is suitable even for the most rigid of workplace dress codes. To me, that also makes it ideal for school! It even has an embossed luggage tag, so you can label it nicely and hope that a lovely stranger honestly returns it if you lose it.
