7 Louis Vuitton Bags You'll Love Even if You're Not a Fan of Monograms ...

By Jelena

Louis Vuitton bags are definitely not the first I’d shop for should I ever end up with an unlimited budget at my disposal and a chance to restock on designer items. It’s weird, I know, but the moment I start thinking about LV purses I get these images of piles of brown monogrammed stuff and an urge to start thinking about Mulberry or Prada. It’s totally unfair because a Louis Vuitton bag doesn’t have to be brown or monogrammed – there are plenty of gorgeous, albeit significantly more expensive Louis Vuitton bags to choose from and these following selected few will, I’m sure, appeal to you too, even if you too happen to have a hard time with monograms.

1 Sobe Epi Clutch

Sobe Epi ClutchThis luxurious clutch actually happens to be one of those Louis Vuitton bags I absolutely love. Seriously, if it is okay for people to love their car, their bike or their power tools, then it should be fine for me to say that I’ve been having these romantic feelings about it ever since I first saw it in Vernis leather. And while Vernis Sobe was hot enough to fall in love with, its Epi sister is to die for in the most Shakespearean way.

2 Alma Epi

Alma EpiIt’s heavy, it’s boxy and if you ever opt for the one large enough to really get a good use out of, you’ll probably need to hire someone to carry it for you. But you’ve got to admit it looks absolutely powerful! This bag is right up there, shoulder to shoulder with a Birkin! Vernis is showy but Epi is just pure, undiluted, in-your-face class.

3 Sofia Coppola Calf Leather Bag

Sofia Coppola Calf Leather BagPerfect for anything but clubbing, this fabulous bag is something one can spend hard-earned money on and not spend a minute second-guessing that decision. Because, hey, when a purse can double as your hand luggage, everyday bag, work bag, diaper bag or whatever else you can think of, you’re definitely going to use it!

4 Suhali Lockit

Suhali LockitIf you’re planning to go for a Suhali Lockit, I’d advise you to go big or go home! Really, I absolutely love the largest variety of this purse and the fact that it isn’t as stiff as it may seem. It’s got that classic refined air about it, you don’t have to maneuver it around like a piece of luggage and it can fit a great many things.

5 Suhali Le Talentueux

Suhali Le TalentueuxSpeaking about refinement – here it is mixed with tackiness in such a delightfully creative way that I find it super hard not to love it. I’m not even going to force myself not to have strong feelings about it because I do – not despite the fact that this bag is loud but because of the fact that it’s so loud. It’s like Axl Rose meets Grace Kelly, they pick up a Slavic '90s folk star of choice and head over to Jackie O’s house for a nightcap.

6 Vivienne S-Lock

Vivienne S-LockIn case you haven’t gotten around to take a closer look at LV’s Parnassea line, you must definitely do so now. Trust me, a versatile Vivienne is not to be missed out on! I find the monogram lock Vivienne totally classy but this orange and tan S-Lock would be my first choice. It’s classic but trendy, a bit on the small side but well organized and don’t even get me started on those versatile straps!

7 Chain Lockit

Chain LockitOh so trendy and so supple you’ll want to pet it, brand new Fall/Winter 2013 Lockit is one of those versatile bags a girl would not mind having. Those luxurious chain handles and a sleek, minimalist body really are a match made in heaven and the fact that the bag can be folded over and used as a clutch is definitely a huge plus in my book.

Is there a particular Louis Vuitton bag you could fall head over heels for any day? I must admit – for a brand so obsessed with monograms, LV has a pretty awesome selection of classy and classic bags.
